Payment options for Apps?

Considering buying an Android phone tomorrow, but before I buy I was wanting to know how do you pay for Apps? I know credit card is the main method, however I am on 02 Pay as you go (Pre-Pay) in the UK. So I just top up my phone, rather than have a monthly bill.

Is there an option to buy apps using your pre-paid credit.. Meaning, if my Balance is

Some carriers offer what is called carrier billing where the cost of the app appears on your bill. However, I've never heard of a carrier allowing the cost of an app to be deducted from a prepay phone credit. You would have to contact your carrier to find this out. Otherwise, credit card is the only option.
