    Hello,

I have a problem with my OnePlus 2. I want to connect it to my laptop so that I can access all the files stored in it. However, when I connect the device to the computer, it doesn't recognize it. The phone starts charging as it it plugged to the laptop, but the computer doesn't seem to see any device connected to it. I have already tried to install the drivers on my PC, but I wasn't able to do it. Can anyone help me, please?

    Thank you!!!

It is probably a driver issue. If you are using a Windows computer than this is a common issue. You can download updated drivers from your manufacturers website.

The problem is that I already tried to install the drivers, but when I get to the step where I have to select the drivers on the device manager, I am told that no drivers exist in the location I say, and it is not true, because they are there. Any solution for this?

It tells you which driver are enable. And how many you have. I found the best way is to uninstall them all and start with a clean slate.

I have just tried it but it doesn't solve my problem. I still can't install the drivers. I have tried it in many different ways but there is no way the PC recognizes the device.

Ok. Well we've eliminated that. Have you gone through the settings? Looking for USB Connection or possibly in Storage Settings. Something like enable MTP or Mount USB.

I have also tried that, but when I press the USB connection settings button a message saying "Connect the device by USB to a computer" appears.

And if that doesn't work, check the USB cable, if necessary try another one. There are a few cheap USB cables that are wired for charging only, not data transfers.

The cable is the official one, and it worked some time ago, before I sent the device to the Repair department of OnePlus. After I got it back, the laptop didn't detect the device, but the cable is the same.

This is all I think of next.

    1. turn on developer options ( tap build number 7 times in settings/about phone)
    2. in developer options turn on android debugging
    3. connect phone to PC and wait for windows to recognise it.
    4. while connected go to storage etc and the MTP menu should show up
