Help pendo pad too many pattern attempts

hello i have a pendo pad that has locked me out too many pattern attempts i have opened mine and see the batteries look like they are soldered? am i correct in assuming this or is their a cable to unplug them both that i am missing? sorry if this is a double post i looked through the forum and couldn't find an answer hope somebody can help me with this i am technically minded so soldering won't be an issue as i do mobile phones and laptops this is new to me.
