I'm checking out a new app called "BetterBatteryStats". I'll let you guys know is it helps identify battery hogging app's and processes.

One warning -- setting it to "Sprint Only" might save battery, but there's quite a bit of anecdotal evidence that in most places, you'll get roughly 50% faster data throughput when the phone is set to "Automatic".

I recommend watchdog...it tells u when apps r misbehaving but lets u make the calls rather than auto killing it.

Also for better battery life try juice defender...i was skeptic but I did notice when Ithe phone is basically idle the charge remained the same for 8plus hours...one oddity...i believe its responsible for led message notification when there are no messages...buy it rarely happens and is a minor inconvenience at best

Onavo lite (free- there is no paid version yet) in the market will tell you exactly which apps use how much data... a good clue to battery hogginess.

Ok, so "BetterBatteryStats" was pretty useless so now I'm trying Watchdog. Looks promising so far.
