    Well, I don't have MyFace on my phone, do I can't tell you. If it's that seesaw one, then likely a magnet in the base and a electromagnet in the table attached to a timer.

    it is not very smooth.. not regular cycles...
    like an external force is helping it

    making me suspect someone is manually moving it...
    in the center black post.. inside.. I would guess a stick or string.

    that would never work..
