Phandroid store

Do they only sell for phones you can select? My phone isn't listed, I've asked them about accessories via email, and have not received a reply. I did tell them which phone.

Many of the accessories apply to all models - while you're waiting on the answer from the Phandroid Store - is there something in particular you're needing?

I would like a wall charger with an American style plug. The one I got with the Apollo was European with an adapter and it's not exactly a tight fit. I also want to know what the battery extender mentioned around the forum is.
I can find chargers locally, but I would like one that would match the phone.
Thanks

I understand the appeal of wanting matching accessories - I'm often the same way myself.

For a charger, what you care about is a clean 5V, .5 to 1A (500mA to 1000mA) output - they're typically 1A. My HTC Evo phone has a nice charger with a USB cable that comes out, so I have in one package a nice way to charge from the wall or my laptop. HOWEVER - I really prefer the less-tight plug from old Samsung Moment charger. Hoping that info gives you ideas if you can't find exactly what you like.

Usually, when people say battery extender, they often mean an over-sized battery and a replacement back cover to accommodate the thicker battery. Sometimes, you can get a slightly-higher capacity battery in the same size. So - it might be a little dependent on the conversation.

Some of the staff is busy with MWC in Barcelona this week, but if I hear anything, I'll post back here for you.

Just to be on the safe side - what's your phone model, please? If you're uncomfortable saying in public for any reason, it's ok to PM me that info.

Phone Model from about phone screen
GT15800
I have no warranty, as it's grey market unlocked. That's why I'd like the closest matching accessories.

I think the extender was mentioned about using live apps for a set period. When I finally get it set up for astronomy, I'll either have to get an extended battery, or use the usb car cigarette lighter/charger. Takes a while to hunt down a "faint fuzzy"
Thanks

Just curious - I know of several reported Samsung GT-15800 models - but they often have model cross-overs with simple cosmetic changes.

Do either of these seem to be like your model (notice the i instead of 1 in model name)?

Samsung I5800 Galaxy 3 - Full phone specifications

Samsung I5801 Galaxy Apollo - Full phone specifications

If so, then you may have luck finding accessories as Galaxy Apollo.

(Best luck on the Messier hunting! ;))

Also - http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/showthread.php/4076-Samsung-GT-15800

So, maybe also Galaxy 3 class.

It's the Galaxy 3. That last bit about the phone mixup was funny. I do know the difference as I had a Nokia C6, and they both ran S60V5.
Aren't the I5800 and I58001 the same phone with a carrier's stuff added? The actual specs look identical.
Galaxy Apollo isn't listed. It's passe. Have no idea of the newer equivalent phone at least size wise. I think I'd also want a new case.

Unless they have a good cross-reference catalog, the store is possibly going to suffer the same confusion as me - ignorance on the specifics. :(

And Samsung has _always_ had a tendency to generate lots of variations on a theme regardless of phone, TV, what have you.

Best luck, again, if I hear anything, I'll pass it along, either direction.
