I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S3 and after setting it up the phone already knows all my SSID I've ever used including PW's. It connected to my home wifi automatically, and after viewing available networks, it has SSID's of routers I've used on my old phone hundreds of miles away. I am assuming this data is stored on Google servers somewhere - when you accept the message to "use google to back up my data", I assumed it was for contact details - not SSID and PWs. Question: am I correct in assuming this data is stored by Google and not my carrier (Verizon)? Is there a comprehensive list of all the data they back up? Is this not madness?
