Help Phone button leads to Dialer

When I press the phone button, the dialer opens on the keypad. Is there any way to make it open to some other tab by default, e.g. favourites, contacts or logs?

No. It will open up to whatever you had opened last.
Unless you have Criskelo's dialler installed, whereby it will always open up the dialler.

I don't think I have Criskelo's Installer installed, yet it always opens up the dialer. Very irritating. Is there no way to put a shortcut to favourites on the home screen?

why not just put your contacts icon on the desk top from there you can switch to favorites or dialer
