i deleted all my recent calls in the call log. now all my contacts show up. is there a way to get them out of there?

so it's not so confusing: When i hit the "phone" option i have all my contacts displayed and i want to get rid of them without deleting them from my contacts.

I believe that is normal operation of the stock dialer and I kind of doubt it can be changed without changing the dialer.

VonK is correct. With no call history the dialer shows your contacts list. As you make calls the history will listed first and the contact list will be 'pushed down' to where you can no longer see it. I THINK you can still scroll down into it if you'd like, but it becomes less obvious.

Your right. It will list all contacts, including Facebook contacts.

that's weak. ever since this last OTA update to "fix" the dialer it has made it worse. i will dial the number, or press the name in the log and it takes about 2 minutes for it to register and start dialing.

anyway to remove an update? i was rooted before, but i unrooted. dont feel like doing it again.
