Few weeks ago I was on a call when the phone just disconnected, I looked.in call log to redial when I see the # of the call that tried calling in. Now it not only disconnects call but the # that was calling in doesn't even show in call log. As for the sd card I have no idea why it is erasing as it was formatted and is only a month old. Anyone have some likely problems and fixes for me? Thanks.

    Hi 916bdogg,

Sorry you're having problems with your LG phone. Which LG phone do you have?

This is the first I've heard of any of these problems (I'm on the LG Motion forum all the time here: HTTP://androidforums.com/lg-motion-4g )
I'll move this thread there so everyone can give their input :)
    Edit: moved.

For the phone disconnecting problems I think you may have to update your PRL.
    Which PRL are you running?
Open Settings>About Phone, somewhere in that menu or a submenu.

Well that's up to date. I don't know what the problem is. :( it could possibly be a defective phone.

Well i wouldnt point it right away to a defective device. Dont give up that quick. Search the forums. Search google. Let us know when you find the answer to your problem so maybe it can help a fellow member

What's the brand of your SD card? Any strange SD messages before it "erased"?

I haven't heard of an SD card being erased randomly before, but I have seen my own Motion and Nook Color corrupt inexpensive SD cards; triggering messages stating something like "SD can't be read and needs to be formatted," or something to that extent.

For critical data, I trust only Sandisk brand.

Does the sd card give you an error message that says "SD Card has been removed unexpectedly, and may have been damaged." And then you end up with a refusal to mount by the sd card itself?

No error messages, I usually use SanDisk but this one is Lexar so I'm thinking that might be what it is but when it wiped sd card it also clears all cache so im not sure. Only thing it says is blank sd card:thinking:

It only does this each time you reboot, correct??
Sounds like recovery is screwing up.

When you say recovery are you referring to the back up/ restore? That was my first suspect but have not been able to pin point it

When you first press the power button to turn on the phone, does it give you the SD card message immediately or after the metropcs bootlogo and bootanimation when the phone is finally all booted?

When I boot in safe mode it doesn't want to boot, Lil screenshot that says do not unplug until finished downloading shows have to hold down the volume down button until phone vibrates then will boot, but surprise on home screen are a bunch of apps that I had uninstalled a while ago. Now what? Hard reset?

No, you booted into download mode. Try again with following that, and to get out of download mode, pull battery.
