Phone is not making noise

I have a G1 it is from ebay unlocked. It is running on the ATT network. Everything including internet and calling works except for one thing: the sound. the phone does not make any noise at all. When I am in a call they can hear me but I can not hear them. I have tried a hard reset but it does not work anybody know what the solution is?

when you are on a call have you tried Speaker phone ...

during call press the Menu key then Speaker ...

If you then get sound ... then you have a bad earphone ...

You can try to use a wired headset or BT headset as a work around ...

Sorry to say ... but this is probably the reason it was on Ebay .... might try to file a claim unless Sold As IS ...
