There's no issue with my SD card I don't think, and it's an issue that has only recently started.

Phone was completely fine for 4+ months, now it'll shut off 3+ times a day for no apparent reason, so instead of sending a quick text message I find myself having to turn the phone on as if it's been off all day.

Any suggestions, or should I just call customer support?

Edit: Meant to put this in support and troubleshooting, my bad.

The only thing I can recommend is a factory reset. Does your phone get hot very often during normal use?

I wouldn't say VERY hot, but it does get hot during excessive use. I figured that was normal. I shouldn't say excessive, but somewhat prolonged usage will get it hot.

Again, I have no idea where this problem came from or why it's happening...

There are a few people that have had the overheating problem and attributed it to a hardware failure. I.E. no fix and need a replacement phone. It can also be due to a rogue app that's causing your CPU to constantly run. Best bet is to closely monitor your system for awhile to see if you can pin it down. Monitor CPU with System Panel, Spare Parts, OS Monitor, etc and also keep an eye on your temp as it relates.

Another thing I've seen work in this case is to move all your SD card contents over to the PC temporarily to clear the card. If any files fail to transfer, they are likely corrupt and ridding yourself of these files has proven effective for some users. If you can find no culprit, factory reset and hope for the best.
