Hello,
Hopefully this a easy fix.

Let's say when I call a 1800 # and I get prompted to push 1 for English so when I take the phone away from my ear to push the 1 and the whole screen goes black and I shake, tap and nothing happens. I tap the home button the power button still nothing then it will finally appears and I am listening to Spanish .uuugh. what can I do to fix it. Thanks

Screen should light up as soon as you pull it away from your head. Is your hand or maybe a screen protector covering the sensor at top of the phone?

A way around it would be to use speakerphone when your dialing that kind of number but a fix would be better
