    Hi,
My HTC Desire has developed a strange habit of making ghost calls.
The phone has been on charge this morning and it has still managed to call my home number and my wife's mobile without any human intervention.

Anybody else had a similar issue?

    Thanks in Advance :)

    Welcome to the forum

Have you installed something recently as it could be something to do with a rogue app?

Or it could be a dodgy digitiser. Do you have any issues with pinch zoom? In that you think you should be scrolling the page but instead it zooms in and out?

Funnily enough, I was playing with my phone and noticed an odd symbol in the status bar. So I pulled it down to discover it was 'in call' to one of my mates. Put the phone to my ear and it was ringing. Not done it before or since, and I definitely didn't touch the dialler.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the replies.

I have only rcently installed Ninjas live, which should only have access to the internet and not contacts etc.

Can't see anything obvious, initially thought that I was not locking the phone, and call button being hit and dialing the last number called.

But my wife was at home and the home phone rang, from my mobile which was sat on a shelf on the other side of the room!!!

May start uninstalling APs to see if one of them is dodgy.

Mine did that over the weekend.

From standby it twice dialed a number from which I had recently had a text; three times dialed my wife's phone - these were all when the phone was in my pocket. I assumed that it was caused by pressing against my hip. Fortunately all the calls were in my free allocation.

Still in my pocket it then dialled an 0845 number. Now I have never made an 0845 call on the phone nor have I ever received a call from such a number. Nor does any such number exist in my contacts.

So it seemed random until I checked the number and it turned out to be my network, T-mobile. So somewhere in the phone's memory is the number but where?

The phone hasn't behaved in a similar manner either before or since.

    Odd.
