suddenly yesterday, for no apparent reason, i got a strange icon on my notification tray indicating that my disk space was low. however, i checked my quick settings app and i have 70% space free on the phone and 91% free on the sd card.

much worse than that issue though, i just noticed that my phone has not synced since yesterday and will not sync now even if i manually tell it to. i have gotten no emails on gmail, no notifications on facebook, etc. oddly, i am getting my yahoo mail thru the standard htc mail widget but nothing else.

anybody have a clue what's going on? i havent changed any settings in months and my DINC had been running like a well oiled machine. im not a super user so i am not rooted. you guys have been awesome in the past, any tips or advice is greatly appreciated!

im terribly sorry if i wasted 22 seconds of your day reading my 12 sentence post. im not on this site regularly enough to keep up with every thread and was simply looking for some assistance. next time i'll be sure to thoroughly check thru every available thread to see if my issue has been addressed before becoming such a horrible burden on you.

for the record, i was really only looking for help with my gmail no longer being pushed and that was mentioned in passing in the thread you attached with no solution provided. but obviously im on my own on this. please return to your extremely important life.

it really would be nice if the experienced people who spend a ton of time here put just a little more effort into organizing the good threads and stickying or combining them and a little less effort at shouting down to those of us who have questions and aren't well.versed in the free forum format or its not as good as most search engines search feature.

It has been going on for some time and scares many of us away from actually asking real questions.

props to you drmartini. your response was more productive than mine. i found the curt answer i got to my genuine request for assistance to be rather annoying and i let my default sarcastic demeanor take over. my bad.

in case anybody reading this experiences the same issue, i deleted several long text msg strings from handcent (the text msg app i use) and it seems to have at least solved the gmail push issue i was having. the "application data space is low" message temporarily disappeared but i just noticed that it has returned. i can live with the icon as long as my phone continues to sync and receive push email, lets hope that continues.

I agree we probably could do with less snarkieness. And I'd love if people posted links instead of/along with telling people to use search (which I commend the responder above for).

However, 1) the average member can't sticky or move threads.
    2) if all the "good" threads are stickied, there will be a list of 30-50 common thread ontop of the page. That doesn't help anyone.
    3) a members definition of a "good" thread is generally the one on the topic he's interested in NOW. At some point, many/most of the threads were "good". They aren't now.

And finally, to the OP. You asked a very general question on a topic that has been widely discussed. The responder posted a link to a thread about the subject. Although he could have been more polite, he was by no means rude. As I see it, the correct course of action is the look at that thread, and then ask a more directed question.

Anyways, I'd suggest clearing the cache from everything you can find (Definitely htc Mail, dialer, maps, market, gmail, etc.) Then if you have more problems, clear data from HTC mail, maps...

I pointed OP to the general area of the answer (sorry, I was actually busy...but wanted OP to have quick help).

I also added the "please search" comment to aid the OP in finding solutions to future questions/problems.

By the way...here is another helpful thread.

I thought I was polite but also stern (teach him to fish). If answering help messages gives this kind of thank you...wow....guess I'll just keep my mouth shut.

I had the same exact issue, even with Gmail not pushing emails.

From this thread, I found this post to work like a dream:

    Hope that helps!
