Help Phone non-usable - gmail account setup SKIP?

Hi G1ians,
Had bought G1 from renowned store in Dubai.
Since gmail account is already logged onto a reseller's name(tried adding him in gtalk from desktop, denied!), I did a factory reset, but i am unable to setup gmail account, due to non-availability of GPRS,wifi or 3G access.

Is there anyway i can skip this, get the phone set up ?

Help pls! My brand new smelling G1 is just a black piece of soap, till then

I had a little trouble myself with my internet connection and there is now way to boot up the g1 without GPRS, you can't even boot up with wifi, so no your g1 like mine not to long ago was useless!

Yes, that's why T-Mobile won't sell it to you without making you add g1 data package. This phone is useless without a sem-regular data connection.
