Support Phone Powers Off When Closing Keyboard + Rotating To Portrait Simultaneously

    Anyone experiencing the phone turning off when they close the keyboard? I can repro consistantly, and its happened to me 5+ times in the last two days?

    Think I got a lemon?

    I don't think its suppose to shut down when you close the keyboard man.

    Playing around with it more, it definitely seems to be a hardware issue. I will try and get it replaced tomorrow.

    This is a complete guess, but the Palm Pre had an issue with some batteries that had too much "wiggle room", and the same thing was happening. When you closed the keyboard, the battery would lose contact long enough to reset the phone. I never had the issue, but many did. I'd still go ahead and return it, obviously.

    My phone doesn't shut off when I close the keyboard but I do notice that when on the home screen, it automatically rotates to portrait mode even though I am still holding it horizontally.

    you can change that in the settings to not automatically switch to landscape.

    My phone does the same thing. it just cuts off for no damn reason. its done it 3 times already today
