Help Phone restart straight away when flash with Odin

Hi guys,

I'm trying to flash back to stock firmware with Odin on my S8+. I have downloaded the stock firmware and loaded with Odin.
I put my phone to download mode and connect to computer. But every time when I hit start, the phone restarts straight away and Odin shows failed. Below is the message I got:

You are pressing volume up to confirm entry into download mode? What version of Odin are you using? Where have you downloaded the stock firmware from. Could you provide the link to the guide used to flash

That <ID:0/004> FAIL! (DeviceInfo) message isn't too helpful. Just some random possibilities;
-- If you're plugging your phone into a USB hub, try plugging it directly into one of your computer's USB ports instead.
-- If you have the Kies utility installed on the same PC as Odin, be sure Kies isn't running and go into Task Manager and confirm it isn't running in the background (kill the process if so). Kies and Odin tend to conflict with each other since they're both attempting to do the same function.
-- You're apparently using Odin version 3.12.3. You might want to try using the latest 3.12.7 but I don't think that's the problem.

-- Maybe look into using Samsung's Smart Switch instead. It includes an 'Emergency Software Recovery' option that might fix your initial problem:

I had the same problem where the phone reboot back to the old OS, using Odin 3.13.1 (instead of 3.12.3) fixed it. I did run Odin in admin mode, not sure if that made a difference
