When I want to make a phone call, the screen shows a person icon with a heart, i.e. "Favorites". Is it possible to change that icon/shortcut to "All" ? I don't have anyone in my Favorites nor do I plan to. Of course, maybe I can make everyone in my "All" list to also be in my "Favorites" list.

Pressing "MENU" in the different screens didn't seem to have an appropriate setting to change.

I think it is a set feature for that app. Your solution of making everyone a favorite is probably your best option.

Hmmm, don't see an "easy" way to do that though...

Not what you wanted, but you can make a shortcut to Programs/People and it will put an icon on your screen, which seems to default to All (contacts). Then, press the People icon instead of the Phone icon.

Or, just take one extra press, On the Phone/Call screen, press the favorites/heart icon, then press the bottom left icon and it refreshes with All.
