phone spazing out

[Android Question]

I was wondering if the hard reset will solve any issues with battery life,touch screen, typeing random letters & general misfuncion .If anyone could answer the question ASAP before I have to get a new phone I would appreciate it. Thanks Devin

A factory data reset can solve a variety of problems.

Whether it will solve yours, though, depends on what's causing them. A couple of partial shorts on the motherboard, due to a particularly humid environment (or having the phone out in sub-zero weather for a few hours, then bringing into a sweat lodge) could cause those problems too - and a reset wouldn't fix them.

In fixing a phone, the very first step is figuring out what the problem is. The second step is figuring out what's causing it. Jumping to a solution is the step after you've fixed the problem.

Agreed, if a factory data reset doesn't fix it, then there probably is a hardware problem.
