I've been doing some reading in the Forums and haven't spotted a solution yet, so I'm hoping someone has an idea I haven't tried yet.
My daughter has had he ZMax Pro since Feb. 2017, and yesterday she woke up to find the screen black but home button lit up. Restarting brings it as far as the Metro splash screen where it freezes. I have tried clearing the cache partition, and powering it off with the recovery menu, with no change. I also removed the SD card and restarted it. She doesn't want to factory reset if possible, in order to salvage everything she can from the phone.
Is there anything i haven't found or tried yet that may help? (Oh, and in case any of you end up in this same position, do NOT ask a 16 year old girl, 'What do you mean, you didn't back up your phone?' Turns out that isn't a helpful response in these circumstances.)
