Hi,I just replaced my earpiece speaker/camera ribbon because of a bad speaker filled with metal shavings from work. I have tried 2 replacement speakers and neither will boot but just hang on the Motorola symbol. I install the original speaker and it boots just fine.
Is there an update or something else I need to do to get this replacement working? BTW the phone is a Motorola xt875 or Bionic w/ 4.04 ICS unrooted, unmolested, bone stock. The phone is almost 1 year old so I don't think its covered under warranty. Any thoughts?
    Thank you in advance, Jake

Welcome to the forums jakeco. :hello: As far as whats going on with the speaker and booting up the only thing I can think of is that both speaker were defective. Are the speakers that you used after market? Your warranty is also good for 1 year so it might still be covered.
