Help Phonebook Crash

For some weird reason my phonebook stopped working today. When I clicked on the name, instead of loading up the contacts details, it just froze. When I help the name for a while, a menu would pop up and as soon as I entered view contact details, it forced closed.

I deleted the app, in the hopes that I could re-install it from Titanium, but that didnt happen.

Any ideas where I can get the app again? Ive checked the market but cant seem to find it.

PLEASE tell me I dont have to go through the entire root procedure again? Have sooo many apps that I need to re-install its gonna drive me moggy :)

Thanks,

Lee

Mnnnn ok I re-re-re-re-re-re-re-rooted my phone, and it was working fine. I deleted some items through Titanium back up and now its faulty again...

I have NOT deleted any google apps, but have deleted the following: (Anyone know which of these ties in with Phonebook?)
TTS Service
netspeed
sound recorder
voice dialler
my uploads
voice search
wiper app
timescape
Pico TTS
SE Sync

HEEEEEEEEELP Please :) Have tried to re-install these items from Titanium backups, but for some reason I either never backed them up properly or you cannot restore these once deleted ????

Fuc%ing Timescape is the cause of the problem. I re-reooted and started removing apps 1 by 1. As soons as this stupid app was taken out, phone book crashed - SIGH.

Just like SE to force you to use thier apps :-(

Oh well, guess Im just gonna have to get used to it running in the background whether I like it or not :)

Even with Taskpanel, although these lines are in teh auto kill list, it still shows up under running tasks, but highlighted in red...

Time to re-root LOL. Man Im becoming a pro at this now :)

Task panel shows as red when its on auto kill but that happens everytime you switch your phone off..

As for timescape.. I thought ud have noticed all the problems people use to have lol
You should seriously consider getting full version of titanium backup.. its freeze/defrost option works wonders.. its like uninstalling an app without actually uninstalling it :) this way if you freeze an app n something goes wrong then you just defrost it n everything should be back to normal.. simple as!!

you know you can get rid of timescape plugin n themes n just leave timescape!

Hope it helps!!

If you want to get rid of Timescape completely, just switch to a third-party phonebook app like aContacts or Phonebook 2.0. This issue is well documented over on XDA, and pretty much any third-party phonebook app works flawlessly (and with more features) than the stock SE phonebook which bugs out when Timescape is removed.
