Is there an app or camera widget that will set my taken photo names to include the date or my name or something similar?

It's tough to make sure I'm not overwriting previous photos when I copy them to my PC, and then my wife does the same with her Dinc and things are starting to get complicated. At the moment I am using a fudged solution with a DOS batch file but there has to be a much simpler way.

If you hold your finger down on the picture and choose "details" from the menu that pops up, you can manually change the name. Is that what you're asking?

I take a picture then immediately change the name so when I move them to my computer, I don't overwrite anything.

No, I'd like them to be named differently as they are created each time I take a picture

I don't believe that's possible with the default camera (though I might be wrong). You may have better luck with a different camera app, maybe download a couple free ones (or trials) and check them out.
