    Hey I have a question,
When looking through my HTC Desire's photos settings I only found integration with flickr and facebook.
I recall the N1 having the option to integrate with picasa aswell.
Currently I use Picasa Tool Pro as a solution, but I'd much rather have it with the rest of my photos.
I am probably doing something really dumb... since I have only been using android for three days now...

    But anyhelp appreciated

    Billions of thanks

A google apps account doesnt show the Picasa linkage.

Also, a @googlemail.com account will allow you to tick Picasa linkage, but it will fail due to Google not catering for the British and German Android userbase :(

Am i missing something? Is there a google written Picasa web album browser available?

I've just picked up "Picasa Tool" from the marketplace, but as its a homebrew version, i'd much rather a true google written app.

    Is there anything else available?

I find that astonished considering its a google product.

Ah well, maybe one day they'll be one or similar OS integration to what is provided for Flickr.

Try the xda-developers forum. Search for 3d gallery. Someone has hacked the N1 gallery to take pictures on the Desire. Have it on mine and all seems fine although I haven't checked it thoroughly

3D Gallery is awesome good, theres a link in the Read Me thread sticky here.

The Picasa site also works well from the browser.

I downloaded it, but didn't install it instantly.

I could download again, but this has raised a question for me. How do i get to my download directory?

apologies, it tells on the install page!!

    1. if you can't find the downloads section in your Desire browser carry on reading..
    2. Download the app called 'Astro file manager' from the market.
    3. Open Astro and browse to the location of the file you just downloaded.
    4. Click on this file (named Gallery3D.apk) and select 'Open App Manager', followed by 'install'.

    You're right Lekky.

The 3d Gallery is great for viewing photo's on the Desire (and being able to upload them to Picasa).

And the Picasa web pages do look very good on the Desire.
In fact, better and faster than that app i downloaded, even over 3G. :D

I think Google would prefer all mobile users to use its websites rather than apps. Check most of hte google pages on your Desire browser, they are all pretty exceptional.

Thanks for the tip, the Gallery3D is a very attractive way of browsing photos on the Desire, and the upload to Picasa is useful... however I'm suprised not to find a download from Picasa... am I missing something here?

    Thanks,

    Will
