What's the easiest way to get the pictures and music that's on my laptop to my new Hero? I've searched for answers and not getting it.

I would think just plugging your Sprint HTC Hero into the computer with a USB cable and allowing it to mount like USB mass storage device would suffice in this situation. That is how I put most of my music on my handset.

The above method would definitely be the fastest way to transfer the files you want. I hope this help you out.

Not even using HTC Sync is as quick as the method described above. By far the way to go.

doing it that way allowed me to add music which allowed me to set that music as ringtones, now my question is how do I set music that I have on the card as a notification sound? I can't seem to find that option

Ringdroid, the app in the market is great, you can trim the ringtones you want, and do all the different notifications from the app. I really like it. Some say that you don't need it, and can do the ringtone thing with the stock music app, but I think ringdroid is really good.

I just beam the music from my computer directly into my brain. It works great but my volume knob got broken so I'm always rockin out to the fullest.
