When i send an MMS or receive in MMS, the picture i sent or received is extremely small and when i pinch to zoom it makes the picture blurry..

Anybody have this problem or know of a solution?

No solution. It has to shrink the image down and lower the resolution to send over MMS. Can't send 8MP shots in text.

    ^^bingo

carrier limitation (any carrier, not just sprint)

might look better with pics taken in a lower resolution, less shrinking

Yeah the excessive shrinkage is somewhat annoying. The whole slideshow concept is a little weird, as well. The Pre didn't shrink the photos as much. The carriers do have limitations on MMS, but they don't need to be compressed this small. If anyone finds a workaround, that would be awesome. From what I read, though, this looks like something that would require rooting.

it's not the pictures i send to people that bother me. It's the pictures they send to me. Like my best friend sent me a pic for his pic id and it was so small i couldnt see it

I love the slideshow. it allows me to see all 4 or 5 of the pics they uploaded

Right. I'm not sure if the sender you mention is sending from an EVO? A friend did the same thing as you described: sent his pic from an EVO, and it was also too compressed to crop for a contact pic. My brother sent me a pic from my old Pre, and it was fine. A nicer 51 KB vs a puny 17 KB from an EVO sender.

So, I'm not sure if it's compressing both inbound and outbound MMS pics, but regardless, it's too much compression.

Dang that really does sound annoying.

I hope this is something that can be fixed soon. I never understood why there isn't a smartphone out there that can handle MMS properly. Maybe it has to do with a lack of standards. I think all phones should agree on a set size and stick with it.
