Pixel 2 xl unlocked

I bought the pixel 2 xl unlocked and I was wondering if could use it on verizon network. I am currentlu using a moto x on verizon and it has a sim card.

Not quite. With Verizon you'll have to have them activate the device on your network. The SIM card in VZW phones is for LTE connections but the rest still relies on their CDMA network. I've never been a Verizon customer so I'm not exactly sure of the process.

I've switched unlocked phones multiple times on Verizon, it really is just a matter of putting the SIM in. As long as the SIM is registered/active it will work. When the phone gets turned on it will program itself, that can take a few minutes but it's always worked like a charm.

It actually just occurred to me that Verizon is the official Pixel carrier, right? That should ensure (hahaha! It's Verizon!!) a smooth transition.
