I have a Samsung Galaxy SII T989 and I have a 2011 Honda Accord Coupe Ex-L. My car has a IPOD/USB car stereo interface to play music on my phone. I connect my phone to my car via USB cable and my phone says 'USB Connected'. It gives me the option to 'Connect USB Storage', but when I click it on my phone, it waits for 10 seconds and goes back to Media Scanning. The interface unit on my car says 'unsupported'.

-I've checked the format of the usb storage and the microsd card to be FAT32
-tried Settings>Wireless and network>USB utilities> Connect storage to PC
    -enabled USB Debugging
    -Audio output mode is checked

I had a mytouch 3gslide before this phone and it worked perfectly.

Sounds like a USB port compatibility issue with Samsung and your car's head unit.
