    Hi

Just have this peculiar problem from the last couple of days. Am on 4.1.1. JB

The apps do not download the update and all I can see that the info 'downloading' appears to be scrolliing.

Tried restarting the phone, force stopped the download manager but of no use.

Any ideas how to set right this issue?

    Thanks
    Shivram.K

Try clearing data for the play store in application manager.

Tried to clear the data, uninstalled the playstore app and re-installed but still the apps do not get updated.
I have to force stop the download manager to clear the notification of the downward 'scrolling arrow'.
    Any other suggestions

Go to application manager and force stop Google services framework then clear data. Reboot your phone and then clear data for Google play store and Google play services
