The google play store wanted to update an app called Podcast republic on my Samsung phone even though the version is exactly the same as the update version. This should not occur as this means either Google play store version 29.3.14-21 [0] [PR] 428061961 incorrectly see the app installed incorrectly or the version installed is an imposter. Google should provide a SHA256 hash so a user can verify the installation. The current version of Podcast republic on my samsung is 22.1.25R and the updgrade from the play store is the same.

A sha256 hash should be displayed for all apps and updates. See enclosed

Did you put that app on the device?
Did you get the app from a different appstore?
Different appstores sometimes do not read apps as being the same even if they are.
