    hi all,
I want to know if there is any app which can play avi, mp4 files of higher resolution, somewhere around 800*480.. or 720*480. I had rockplayer beta before the latest update and it was able to play these files somewhat, though sometimes audio/video sync issue was there, but at least it was playing something...

nowadays, i dont know what has happened, i am unable to play these files. So, i was thinking may be i should look for other players as well..

can anyone tell me a good video player for such files and resolutions...

    thanks

Try MoBoPlayer, It supports a lot of video formats and not lagging on my phone

You need to down convert to a manageable resolution for mobile i.e. 320x240. Try Format Factory

Format Factory - Free media file format converter

The higher the resolution & compression codec used, the higher the cpu processor load.

i.e. 8GB 1080i mp4 will stress out even a high end desktop & video card
