I am looking for an app to help keep track of particular landmarks/places. Basically, I keep a list of my favorite restaurants, attractions and other activities. This list also contains interesting things that I have read about or a friend mentioned and I would like to try (e.g., restaurants, bars, etc.) Most are local to me, but some are in cities that I frequently visit.

I have been searching all day for some sort of app that will allow me to transfer my list to my phone (retyping it into my phone is completely cool). However, the location-type programs that I keep coming across are more recommendation-based or category-based (i.e., you search for theaters, bars, etc. and it gives you the locations).

Has anyone come across something along these lines? Please note that I've tried Places and a grip of other apps.

    Thanks!

a Word document? Or, couldn't you save them in Google Maps as a "favorite"?

Though that is a great app, Yelp helps you keep track where you've been. The OP wants to keep track of where he wants to go in the future.
