Root Please help me un-root so I can get FRG83D

I want this update but I'm rooted. Im stupid an tried this but it failed of course. So I guess I need to unroot before i try and update? someone help me with the unrooting process please.

Pay special attention to the directions titled: How to revert back to Stock 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.1, or 2.2.

Also, this is a very minor update and if you are running a custom ROM, you are probably already running 2.2.1. Just an FYI.

Most decent ROMs that have been updated recently are already FRG83D.

You could just download Pete's FRG83 Deodexed/Odexed if you want the rom and would like to keep root? I just did this and installed Benny's Droid X theme. Add in the gingerbread keyboad and I am a happy camper.

Yes, exactly. Just install one of Pete's rooted stock FRG83 stock ROMs and you'll have the latest update and you will not lose root. You will also have the latest baseband installed. Simple. However, you will have to reinstall your custom kernel if that situation applies, as the ROM includes the stock kernel. I foolishly refused to wipe my phone or clear cache before the update, and it still worked just fine, without having to reinstall my apps. Not recommended to do it that way, though. Just make sure to do a nandroid backup first, and there's no risk. Neall
