Please help! Searching for past "Talk" chats???

Hi,
I have a moto photon and I'm trying to find an older message on an app that came with my phone called "Talk".
As I look though my messages with a friend, the messages available just seem to be the last chat we had ...is there any way to find a chat from less than a month ago...?
