Help please help with samsung galaxy s , auto rotation problem, someone must know how to fix this?!

dude it's not a problem at all, go to settings, display, horizontal calibration, place the phone on a flat level surface and hit the calibrate button and it work like a charm

Thank you,this has been driving me mad all day! must have turned off auto rotate accidently.

Happened once to me, went into settings and noted that autorotation was turned off there, that seemed to dissociate it from the pulldown menu in the notification bar. Made sure that both were set to the same setting and no problems since (on 2.2.1).

Go to Settings > Display > Horizontal Calibration, in there just calibrate your device.

Hi guys, so did anyone found something for that, i mean when the autorotation is on but the calibrate doesn't work..and when *#0*# says the sensor doesnt work..when i calibrate the ball stays in the middle, doesnt move at all...what can i dooo....please...i have done hard reset, took of the battery many times..shaked it....nothing worked..galaxy ace non-rooted
