Nevermind I'm sorry I just opened them in a different browser. The flash one downloaded as flash_image.bin is that right? And I'll just place these in the root of my SD card right?

Just follow the directions to the link I gave you in your original post! You should be fine now! I am now going to remove the files from Google docs as the OP'er has asked not to D/L these files and repost them! I hope this has helped you!

The recovery image file name probably doesn't match the line you are to copy and paste in the ADB, make sure to rename the file or type extactly the file name in ADB, also make sure to include the .img extension.

Read this link for detailed instructions:
    http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-...-flash-recovery-setup-androidsdk-revised.html

EDIT: I noticed you said after the cat command, so your flash_image is not found? Just copy and paste these commands, Linux is case sensitive and all spaces have to be in there!

I don't know about the chickeneater ROM, but I do know that the Sense ROM is awesome!

Also, make sure to download the file with internet explorer, it sounds like your having a hard time downloading zip files!

Stop with the IE bullshit. If Firefox or Chrome didn't download properly both teams would work around the clock until the issue was fixed.

If you have a crappy internet connection you might want to use a download manager.

I have NEVER used IE to download an Android ROM.

I have always used Firefox myself and never had a problem! But in some other threads a few people were having different file sizes via Google Docs and were instructed to download with Internet Explorer. Lauramishell did mention in one of his post he had to use a different browser to access my Google Docs, so it was just a simple suggestion.

I absolutely agree with you about using some kind of download manager if downloads keep failing. I had to use one a while back when I tethered via DUN.

For this use dolphin browser hd or miny & pick the user agent & pick DESKTOP! This resolves the google docs problem hope this helps:)
