Please help ,when I plug my charger into me dhd nothing happens so I can't charge my phone which makes it useless

You tried shut down the phone, pull off the battery for one minute and then restart the phone?

It does but seems tempermental .

Maybe a problem of the microUSB connector.
You could try with an other USB cable.
