Root Plz help. I dwngraded to 1.0, now how do i root?

I downgraded to 1.0 on my g1 and now i dont know how to root it. I could use any advice to help my cause. Just want to root my g1 and have a nice rom on it. Why does it gotta be so hard on a g1, the mytouch is super easy to do
