Every live wallpaper on my Nexus One works fine, except when I go to select the Polar Clock one it says that the live wallpaper process needs to be force quitted, and returns me to the home screen. Thus not allowing me to set that wallpaper. Does anybody else have this issue?

I've had the exact same problem. Guess that can go on the "fix update" that this phone will need. Funny thing is that a lot of the press shots I see, show that as the background.

If you set this wallpaper, after the force close error click settings -> color palette and set one of the included themes. It will work after doing so.

Any color palette not designated as "dynamic" should work.

Does anyone know what those look like?

Doesn't work for me - it just shows the 'Loading live wallpaper...' screen forever without actually doing anything.

Never mind... got it to work. Doesn't look as good as the dynamic ones, though.

This happened for about a week to me on two of the animated wallpapers. The day of the launch of the phone, I got an update and after that it seemed to work completely fine.

So...likely to come in the next update. Another problem that was addressed in that update was the accelerometer. It was a bit jacked up before, but after that update it works flawlessly.

how does one receive updates? Is it just automatic?

yes, it will show up when its pushed to your phone. Over the Air (OTA updates)

This was the same Live Wallpaper that crashed repeatedly in the pre-release N1s that the press got. Updates are handled OTA, but since this is a new business model, I wonder if Google is going to make it available for download to be opened up in the phone.

Now I can't remember where I read it, but someone on another forum said that it will start working next month. Something to do with how the palette uses the date is crashing it, but it will be progressed enough next month to work.

If this happens, when you choose Polar, before hitting set wallpaper hit settings and select one of the none dynamic pallettes.

You'll notice that some of the others have settings too,for instance you can change the colours on the Smoke wallpaper.

It's definitely date related. If you manually set your date to 12.12.2009 and set a dynamic color option it works OK.

Just out of curiosity, what's the difference between the dynamic and non-dynamic wallpapers?

i'm confused about how to read the clock- i understand the outer 3 are sec, min, hrs. but the inner circles are supposed to be the month and the day, correct? both of my inner circles have disappeared and i'm confused. can anyone explain this to me?
