I thought I'd like the physical keyboard, but I pretty much use the landscape virtual KB all the time. I like the physical but find the keys are too small for my moderate sized thumbs.

I mainly use the landscape virtual native keyboard and Shape Writer in landscape. The physical keyboard is my third choice. I had to uninstall Swype as it caused many force closing on my phone. It also caused my phone to be laggy.

At first I found Swype awkward. Now, I can't type without it.

    I know this isn't very popular ... but I use SWYPE! :D

After that, it's the TalkToMe Keyboard app. But 2.1's voice dictation plugin is going to render that app almost needless. Although, the TalkToMe Keyboard app supports punctuation now. Also, that app gives the hardware keyboard predictive text, so it wasn't a waste of money.

physical keyboard for long messages/emails. It works well for me and my big fingers! I just wish it had the same dictionary/correction that the virtual keyboard has

Amazingly, I use the virtual landscape keyboard 99% of the time. The auto-correct feature that corrects your spelling is so accurate, i don't need the physical. I would never buy a phone without a hardware keyboard...which is why this is amazing for me, cuz all the virtuals have always sucked for one reason or another. This physical keyboard on this thing is bad for me. The mostly flat keys kill it for me.

Next time I might think twice about a hardware keyboard if my next phone is an android phone again.

I use the virtual landscape mode only for the most part. I'll open the physical keyboard to get the screen to change so I can tell what fields on a webpage I'm filling out. I'll also use the D-pad. the physical keys suck for me as I can't get it to only read the letter I'm trying to press.

Virtual landscape all the time unless I am feeling coordinated enough to use portrait. I don't think I have ever used the physical one at all. I got used to the virtual one on the Eris and just stayed with it.

    Better Keyboard 80%..Physical keyboard 10%..Swype 10%

I like better keyboard's correction more than Swype's...except for the period it puts behind numbers.
