    Hi,

I have the N1's dock connected to a pair of M-AUDIO AV-20 speakers and the sound quality is less than enjoyable.

The question is, does the phone get connect to the dock through bluetooth? I would expect a much better audio quality from ANY Dock.

    What would you recommend?

    Cheers

Yes, the audio connection from the N1 to the dock is via Bluetooth so you will not get the optimal audio quality from the dock's audio port due to the limitations of Bluetooth. Silly to use Bluetooth since the N1 is physically touching the dock, but you can see that it would have been a hassle to build in some kind of dock connector. Google should have just left out that feature and charged $10 less for the dock.
