My mini does only connect to my car stereo as a handsfree. All my other phones have connected as both handsfree and media.

My MW600 bluetooth handsfree, the newest headset from SE, has a display that shows media info and caller ID from my phonebook. When pairing with the mini, only phone numbers are shown.

There is no way I can transfer files to my phone using bluetooth.

Most of this issues are probably because of Android 1.6

Desperately trying to sort this out on my wifes x10 mini, tried the above advice but simply cannot connect to the HTC desire, it just says "paired but not connected" this is seriously annoying, what type of phone in this day and age doesn't connect via bluetooth?

X10 Mini in this day & age doesn't connect well with bluetooth.

Gotta remember it's made by Sony Ericsson (Look at previous phones)

On a serious note, try BlueX on the market... I think that will solve your problem.

bluetooth file transfer is working well on my x10 mini. All you need is to pair with another device before transferring file.
