Help Pop ups

I primarily use Handcent, but I still get pop ups from the SMS messenger on my Dinc. I went to the settings and un-checked everything to do with the Dinc messenger, but they still come up when I get a text. I then have to get out of the pop up screen and then go to the Handcebt screen. is there a way to stop the pop ups ?

correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm almost positive the default texting app on the inc does not have a popup option. it has notifications on the status bar, but no popups. are you sure you don't have SMS Popup installed?

Maybe I am wrong. I am talking about the little default box that pops up automaticaly when you get a text. Thats the notification box I have to get out of in order to use the Handcent notification box. I have to use Handcent because I cant see the fonts that are on the default text so I have to x out of the default notification box and go to Handcent. It sucks getting old.
