Porn?

  1. Android Question

    Thread Starter

Whilst browsing the Internet I browsed some fight websites and then some other stronger violent sites. Sometimes though I got redirected to porn sites, dating sites and other rubbish. At some point though I had a porn file on my phone in downloads saying don't forget to subscribe. Is this a form of hack or trojan? Or are these sites dodgy and capable of doing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Very possible. Install Malware Bytes and run a full scan.

I had the same thing happen to me. Downloaded virus protection and it cleaned it up. Then while trying to find info on a Note 4, in the back ground I saw Chinese writing and 18+. Scanned again, and put the phone down. This pisses me off.

Power off/Restart usually works now. Don't really remember what you had to do in 2016? But there was a hack for that, definitely.

    "stronger violent sites"?

Well if they're dodgy or something, then yeh they could redirect you to porn, dating, gambling, and other nasties. And could try and push malicious stuff out as well.

I guess it depends on how you are watching it. Are you streaming through a browser? Using an app? Downloading it and watching with a media player? It could be a slow network connection, a low spec' device or even a malicious payload. Do you notice lagging when watching other media?

It actually might be a sort of a hack. I remember my little brother has actuallt faced a similar issue.

its not a hack, if you are referring to the op's question. like i posted earlier, it is probably adware.
