Portrait and landscape issue?

When i go to portrait to landscape it will stay on portrait then after i mean like 20 mins or so when i go to use it, it will go to landscape and portrait. Then after another while it will stay on portrait and not go to landcape i've tried everything and tried to find a solution for this but dont seem to find one. I just got the phone on saturday and been playing with for awhile to get the feel of it.

is it rooted? if not.. take it back and get a new phone.. if it is... what ROM are you running?

I went into the sprint store today and told them my issue. He fixed it right away.

1. Go to menu
2. Tap on settings
3. Tap on Sounds & Display
4. Go to G-Sensor Calibration
5. Place device on a flat surface. DO NOT HOLD THE DEVICE.
6. click on calibrate.

this fixed the issue so i hope it does yours.
