Root Possible fix to missing cid backup error on unrevoked..NEED HELP!!

OK so ive been getting the backup cid is missing error for two days now while trying to root my EVO with unrevoked. Ive been looking on the internet for the answer and i think i finally found one,but i am not sdk savy enough to understand how to implement it. these are the addresses to the fixes. one is a chat session talking about it and one is the fix. I would really appreciate any help one this.
