New RAZR Ice Cream Sandwich Leaks as Build 6.14.84, May Be Official – Droid Life

okay guys here you go. Some of you may remember that i've said last year during the GB update process with the DX we saw numerous leaks about 4 weeks prior to official release. We saw about 5 different leaked builds, each one getting better and better.

This right here may be the start of the same scenario for Razr owners. I don't know yet if you will have to be rooted to do this IF it is released to the public. If it turns out that you do have to be rooted i will move this thread to the All things Root section.

This is great news for the Razr owners.

I just read that, and I'm just starting to look for the file or a large thread discussing it.

Droidrzr has them (and install directions).

Please note, this is NOT official (yet) and would technically void your warranty... proceed with caution!

Ideally, yes. This isn't something the "normal" user should install. :)

Seems like some pretty major issues. No roaming? Incorrect battery info? Permanent mass storage mode?

Where are you seeing these issues? Curious... If so it will prevent me from flashing.

It says some may fixed, but for me I NEED roaming :( So i'll have to wait.

    New Ics Build 6.14.84.xt912 - DroidRzr.com

    Known Issues

    - Battery charge information will report incorrectly after reboots most times. Solution: Don't reboot the phone very often. If you charge/discharge it, it will fix itself. - Need verification on new build. May be fixed. Please comment.
    - Outbound Calling/Texting/Data while roaming are not possible. Solution: No known fix - Need verification on new build. May be fixed. Please comment.
    - Mass storage mode cannot be disabled (possible security risk). Solution: No known fix
    - Mass storage is enabled even through lock screen (previously would not mount until you unlocked the phone). Again. Security risk. Solution: No known fix

Some of those are awaiting confirmation, so you should wait before even considering.

I can't test the roaming but the battery issue is still there. I was at 40%, rebooted my phone and now it's at 20%. Moto still has some bugs to take care of.

It seems some people can NOT fastboot back after installing this leak which could mean they are now off the upgrade path.. Its NOT recommended that anyone install this leak unless a method is found to restore to .181.

seems this is the new trick with verizon or possibly moto. they are putting out updates that are not possible to revert back to previous versions. this dirty little trick was played on the droid x with the .621 update and people were stuck without root and could not SBF back to any other version. caveat emptor, gentlemen (and ladies...)
