I got a T-Mobile Pre-Paid Samsung GS3 LTE 16GB, Titanium Gray/Marble White from Wallmart
my mom got it and she can ship it to me overseas ..

http://www.walmart.com/ip/T-Mobile-Pre-Paid-Samsung-GS3-LTE-16GB-Titanium-Gray-Marble-White/26670416

I plan to use it over seas for my travels ...

do you know of any case ever that this can not be unlocked?

how? where/what site/service? (I've seen the free way on 4.12 - but if that fails I want to be prepared ... ) or maybe I just better of getting a factory unlocked from eBay?

what's the best place to unlock it?

thank you... :)

U can only unlock if carries have simcards for it like at&t

OMG
What does that mean?

You mean SIM card might be built in?

Or unique SIM card made by t-mobile?

I am planing to use it on many carriers all over the world .. Please help me undertand if this is something I can use? Or I better get a factory unlocked from eBay?

Thank you eveyone ..

im very experienced in this topic. im here to offer you my intel.
if you buy a gsm s3 (meaning it uses a sim card) you can basically use it on any sim card based carrier such as:
Att
Tmobile
MetroPCS
Simple mobile

if you buy a cdma version (witch means does not have a sim card slot) it can be flashed to the following carriers:
Sprint
Verizon
Boost Mobile
VirginMobile
and i believe metropcs too if you have a donor phone but im not sure because i think they switched

P.S. yes theirs a diffrence bettween unlock and flash. flashing is for cdma phones . unlocking is for gsm.

yes sometimes this is the case .this is for the international function of the service both sprint and verizon have had devices that require a sim to have international but sometimes they also put it in a mandatory for tracking in case the phone gets stolen etc etc.

Yes USA if u unlock it works with gsm but it all depends on the phone if it have a slot

To address the OP's questions....

The T-Mobile S3 will work with any GSM SIM card provided it's unlocked. 3G coverage shouldn't be too bad as it uses the 850/1900/2100MHz bands, lacking only the 900MHz one of the GT-i9300. LTE will be a non-starter in Europe though; the two bands supported are not used.
