I write about technology for Maximum PC and Tested
    in the Transcend
I use the Zelda Fanfare sound. It's what you hear when you find something cool. I think this one is from Ocarina of Time.

This is a great idea for a thread. I am however LAME. I use DROID for emails, TWEETERS for sms and PIZICATO for Gtalk. Keeping my eye on this thread for something decent ;)

I would like to find a good quality soundfile of AOL's now famous, You got Mail. But i have yet to find one.

Currently, im using droid for most message alerts, the tweeters sound for twitter alerts, and the transformers sound for incoming calls.

I make my own ringtones... literally. I have my own PC based recording studio, so I record little 30 second clips or I cut 30 second clips from the songs I write to use.

    Pandorum.mp3

    Untitled.mp3

    028.mp3

I have literally hundreds and hundreds of clips from projects I started and never got around to finishing.

oh and... anyone can use any of these if they want. Just don't try to rip me off or pawn them off as your own work. ;)

I should start taking requests for custom ringtones and notifications. They are pretty easy to make.

You know which one I've been looking for forever? Remember those "What's G" commercials? The piano playing then Lil Wayne comes on and narrates???? I would love just the song without Lil Wayne.
